Last Labor Day weekend, cosplayers and geek aficionados swarmed downtown Atlanta for DragonCon 2016. Yours truly, author of the “Shadowdance” action/ urban fantasy saga, was among them. Here’s a recap of some of the sights and things I learned while at the con’s 30th anniversary.
A heads-up: those looking for cosplay pics may want to Google/ Bing that. I was more about panels for writers and urban fantasy and buying stuff, which is what I’ll talk about here.
Paul Feig’s all-female (and over 40 years old) “Ghostbusters” reboot is a financial disappointment.
That’s sad because it was truly a well-made and entertaining movie.
It does get to claim something some other summer movies failed to get — “certified fresh” from review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes.
Take that DC Murderverse and “Jason Bourne”… who are probably crying in their pools of money.
“Ghostbusters” hits the home video market in an extended “Answer the Call” edition on October 11.
