New “Star Wars: Rogue One” trailer drops
As if you hadn’t already seen it a ba-jillion times, here it is again, the latest trailer for “Star Wars: Rogue One.”
I’m sure the man-babies will insist that Lucasfilm and Disney are destroying their childhood by having a woman be the leader of a major rebellion.
Meanwhile, I cry because in some other timeline, Tatiana Maslany from “Orphan Black” is playing the lead role in this. Oh well. I’m just glad that this time they have an Asian action star (Donny Yen) and actually let him do what he does best.
Unlike having the guys from “The Raid” stand around and get eaten, just so you can say they’re there.
I still think “The Force Awakens” was a big budget fan film. Hopefully, when unshackled from telling the Skywalker soap opera, we’ll get something new and different from “Star Wars.” Which is what Lucas tried to do with the prequels, just failed miserably in the acting department. I blame his love of visual effects.
And Jar-Jar Binks.
“Rogue One” opens December 17, 2017.
